Family Tree

Let me share with all of you our first road trip which happened to be to Grandma B’s house  “The Family Tree” -Florida.  Since we went into lock down due to the pandemic, Shaun and I had the amazing opportunity to share with each other how important family is to us personally and as a couple.  I remember our talks about Grandma B and the iconic Family Tree. After being in quarantine and feeling safe that we were not putting anyone at risk, it didn’t take us long to make the decision to hit the road and visit Grandma!

I can’t tell you how exited I was to be able to have the opportunity to get to meet Shaun’s Grandmother.  I was looking forward to the entire journey, from the packing (my least favorite ;-)), 8 hours on the road and getting to enjoy time with the family.  We were looking forward to experience our first road trip together for sure.  As I suspected we had an amazing 8 hours in the car, for sure we can always find a topic of conversation, make plans for our future, still getting to know a little more about each, proving again that we certainly enjoy every single second together.

When I say that we should nurture our mind, body and souls, I really mean it!  During covid quarantine we made the commitment to take care of ourselves and focus not on the negative or as I prefer to call it “contrast” in our lives, but instead to see the opportunities that this time offers as well as the attention and focus on our family.  Going to visit Grandma B was indeed a way to nurture our relationship with each other and the family.

I am sure you would not get surprised to know that Grandma B and I connected so well from the moment we met! She is lovely and lively, gorgeous lady with a sharp mind and heart of gold.  I can’t thank Shaun and the family enough for opening their hearts to me, they have been so loving and welcoming, indeed a blessing in my life!

Wellness requires a commitment not just in the physical aspect but in mind and spirit, gratefulness is an essential component of happiness…..”A Grateful Heart is a Happy Heart”.  which leads to a life based on love, gratitude and peace.

Stay tuned 🙂
